What This Test Detects

The Cancer Blood Test analyzes DNA fragments released into the bloodstream by cancer cells. These fragments form a unique genomic signature that allows early detection, often before imaging can identify changes. This test is also known as a “liquid biopsy”.

The test detects 59 cancers, including:

Pancreatic, liver, esophageal, stomach, lung, kidney, bladder, ovarian, cervical, uterine, breast, colon, bile duct, prostate and lymphoma.

This includes many cancers that have no regular screening options and are often diagnosed late.

Accuracy and Performance

88% sensitivity – If cancer is present, the test detects it about 88% of the time and follow up scans are ordered.

98% specificity – If the test is negative, there is a 98% chance that you truly do not have cancer.

A negative result indicates a high probability that no cancer DNA was detected. The test is significantly more powerful than full body MRI because it can detect microscopic DNA fragments that imaging cannot visualize.

What This Test Does Not Do

This test does not replace routine breast, colon or cervical screening. It complements standard medical care.

It is not recommended for individuals diagnosed with cancer within the last five years.

Eligibility

Recommended for adults aged 40 to 75, but is clinically indicated for ages 25 and up. The test has not been studied in pediatric populations, therefore children are not eligible.

Investment

Cost: $2,749 per test or $2,499 per test for corporate or groups of 10 or more people.
Eligible for many health spending accounts. This investment is tax-deductible.
